How to Make Tandoori Chicken|Spicy Tandoori Chicken Recipe

Ingredients for Spicy Tandoori Chicken—

First marination:    

  • 2 tandoori chicken leg pieces approx 600 gram
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic paste

Second marination:

  • ½ cup hung Curd (yogurt/dahi)
  • 1 teaspoon kashmiri Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (haldi)
  • 1 teaspoon Kasuri methi (dried Fenugreek Leaves)
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder (jeera)
  • ½ teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon Oil (preferable Mustard Oil)
  • Salt to taste

For grilling:

  • 1 tablespoon Butter/Oil

  How to Make Spicy Tandoori Chicken

  • Take two de-skinned chicken leg pieces and cut very sallow little line into the pieces.

First marination:

  1. Take the chicken pieces into a bowl add lemon juice, salt, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, mix well everything.
  2. Set marinated chicken inside the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Second marination:

  1. Take a large bowl add hung curd, kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, ginger garlic paste, kasuri methi, mustard oil and mix it.
  2. Then add the marinated chicken pieces into it, mix well together and marinate again for another 1 hour.

Cooking the chicken:

  1. At first Prepare your grill and take the chicken out of the marinade and shake off the excess. Put the chicken pieces on the hot side of the grill and cooked 15 minute.
  2. After that turn the chicken when it will be brown (slightly burned) and grease upper (cooked) side of the chicken with butter and cooked for 15 minute depending on the size of the chicken and the grill temperature.
  3. When other side will be cooked grease that side also and cooked for 5 minute.
  4. Then let it cool for 5 minute before serving.
  5. Served the tandoori chicken with nun, rumali roti.
